Gratitude Journal 2019 – Meaningful May

“The more grateful I am, the more beauty I see.” – Mary Davis

Welcome to May’s edition of my 2019 gratitude journal. You can check out the previous months here – January, February, March & April.

☼  Buddha’s birthday – I’m incredibly fortunate that celebrating Buddha’s birthday has become quite a tradition for my family, we’re not Buddhist by any means but I love the Buddhist beliefs and their culture.  This year was extra special as we went for lunch with our good family friends, ate lots of food, did some shopping at the markets and our little ones enjoyed playing with each other. A great day in general!

☼  10 year anniversary – It was my husband and I’s 10 year anniversary in May. My husband organised a night away for us and some dinner at a beautiful restaurant. It was honestly so nice to just be able to hang out with no pressure and purely enjoy each other’s company.

☼  Awards – My daughter received the class award in May which was so exciting for her to go up on stage at assembly (it’s also nice to know that she is doing well in school.) My son got the “Player of the match” award at one of his football (AFL) games which was a great confidence boost for him.

☼  Blog success – My blog got 2425 views in May which is a huge improvement compared to other months. It’s great knowing that people are enjoying my blog posts and are sharing them with others. THANK YOU to everyone that has contributed towards this.

☼  Good health – Last but not least and probably most importantly of all I finally got some general health checks done (I kept putting off blood tests etc) and it seems like I’m in good health. I like to have checks every so often for peace of mind but its always at the bottom of my priority list for some reason.

What were you thankful for in May?

Thanks for reading and make sure you share your smile with the world today ☮
