Gratitude Journal 2019 – Awesome April

“Life is a gift, and it offers us the privilege, opportunity, and responsibility to give something back by becoming more.” – Tony Robbins

April was a busy month for myself and my family which gave us plenty of things to be grateful for so here are a few of the standouts.

Public Holidays – April had a lot of public holidays due to Easter and Anzac day which is something to be grateful for in itself. Who doesn’t love having a break and being able to spend more time with family and friends?

Easter hat parade – Maybe I went a little overboard with my children’s Easter hats this year but its the first year I have been able to make an effort helping them make one AND was actually able to attend their Easter hat parade. My son really didn’t like the idea of wearing an Easter hat (He’s at that age where he’s too “cool” for them lol) so his was super basic but I LOVE how my daughters came together.

My bestie is back – I am so happy to my best friend and her family living a lot closer to us again. We did our old school catch up at the park with nibblies and drinks which is something we used to do quiet often. The kids and adults all had a blast and I got to soak up precious time with my happy little godson Vance.

School holidays – School holidays went for 2 weeks so we had a “relaxing” first week and went away for the second. During the first week we got creative with some art, did lots of park trips/ scooter riding and enjoyed a day at “Inflatable world” with friends.

Easter holidays – As I mentioned above the second week we went away with family to Tweed Heads, NSW. We combined accommodation across the 2 families and rented the villa at the BIG4 Tweed Billabong Holiday Park so we could all be together. There are so many facilities at the park so there was always something to do and the Easter Bunny even organised an Easter Egg hunt on Easter Sunday. There’s honestly something so special about watching my children grow up with their (second) cousins, making memories and forming a bond that they’ll have forever. Of course it also meant that the adults could catch up while the little ones entertained each other (depending on their mood lol!)

Overall I am grateful for having the opportunity to be able to have these experiences with family and friends. I truly am blessed 🙂

How was your April?

Thanks for reading and make sure you share your smile with the world today ☮
