Inspiring Words Of Wisdom You Need To Read Today!

Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect. – Chief Seattle, Duwamish

Who has fallen victim to the night time trap of not being able to sleep… “quickly” checking your phone and then finding yourself stuck in the endless rabbit hole of the internet? This was me a couple of nights ago but this time I stumbled across some absolute treasures of wisdom. Somewhere between Pinterest, Google, YouTube and Facebook I came across Native American creation myths (don’t ask!) But in all seriousness, this is some extremely interesting stuff! I’m an open book to anything related to how the world came to be and love learning about different cultures, religions, ideas, theories and their history so its no wonder I got sucked into this rabbit hole.

There is something about reading the Native American legends that speak to me with a deep voice of wisdom and reason. This is one of the many stories I read and wanted to share with you today.

Creation Story from the Hopi Nation

In ancient times, The Creator wanted to hide something from humans until they were ready to see. The Creator gathered all the animals and sought their advice.

Creator: “I want to hide something from the humans until they are ready for it. It is the realisation that they create their own reality”

Eagle: “Give it to me, I will take it to the moon.”

Creator: “No, one day they will go there and find it.”

Salmon: “I will bury it in the bottom of the ocean.”

Creator: “No, they will go there too.”

Buffalo: “I will bury it in the Great Plains.”

Creator: “They will cut into the skin of the Earth and find it even there.”

Grandmother lives in the breast of the Mother Earth and has no physical eyes but sees with spiritual eyes.

Grandmother: “Put it inside them.”

Creator: “It is done.”

We all have this incredible gift inside of us and it’s our thoughts both conscious and unconscious that powers what happens next. Choose to be a conscious creator and remember that we build our reality, we give it shape and we really are the architects of our own experience.

Let me know what you think in the comments!

Thanks for reading and make sure you share your smile with the world today ☮
