5 Steps To Help Declutter Your Mind Today!

I have been meaning to write this blog for about a week and whenever I would start, something else would pop up in my mind and distract me which was literally driving me crazy. During one of my “moments” I was going through some of my notes from my life coaching accreditation I am studying and came across a webinar that was focused on clearing your mental clutter. During the webinar we were asked to do an exercise which involved answering a couple of questions which intern helped us to determine our energy pipeline and how to redirect any wasted energy to help clear our mind.
Well considering I have a blog post uploaded you can probably guess that the exercise worked and now i’m here to share it with you!
If your craving some mental clarity you can download your very own Mental To Do List here or some pen and paper will work just fine.
STEP 1 – Answer the below questions with the first thing that comes to your mind.
STEP 2 – Imagine yourself as a mobile phone and every one of those answers is an APP running in the background using your precious battery life. What % out of 100 are each of your answers using? (You can write your answer in the “battery used” box next to your answer.)
STEP 3 – Looking at your answers what ones do you have the power to change? (Tick the “control” box that is next to each of your answers for the things that ARE in your control.)
STEP 4 – How many answers are in your control? How much battery is being drained on the things you cannot change?
When you close the APPS running in the background of your phone your battery will stop draining as fast. This is true for our mental clarity too, once you let go of the things you CANT control and reassign that energy to the things you CAN control you will notice a significant change in everyday life.
STEP 5 – For the answers that are left over, this is now your “TO DO” list, prioritise each answer and start taking action to remove the clutter from your mind today.
